  • The Great Muta To Defend GHC Heavyweight Title In Impact?

It looks like pro wrestling legend The Great Muta (Keiji Mutoh) may be defending his newly-won GHC Heavyweight Title in Impact Wrestling.

As noted earlier at this link, Muta has signed a two-year deal with Pro Wrestling NOAH after winning the title from Go Shiozaki over the weekend in Tokyo, Japan. Muta confirmed the new contract during a press conference today in Tokyo.

In an update, Himanshu D sent word that Muta noted at the press conference that he has received an e-mail from Impact Wrestling officials, who want him to defend the GHC Heavyweight Title in the United States. Apparently Muta is receiving other offers to defend the title in America as well.

There’s no word on when Muta might defend the title in Impact. He is scheduled to defend against Kaito Kiyomiya at the Great Voyage 2021 event on March 14 in Japan.

  • Pro wrestling legend Konnan has reportedly tested positive for COVID-19.

As noted earlier this morning, it was reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that Konnan was hospitalized due to a kidney issue. It was said that the situation was serious as he had a kidney transplant back in 2007.

In an update, Lucha Libre Online now says former WWE and current AAA announcer Hugo Savinovich is reporting that Konnan has tested positive for COVID-19.

“As Hugo Savinovich has just reported, Konnan has confirmed to us that he unfortunately tested positive for COVID-19, which is why he is hospitalized,” Lucha Libre Online wrote (translated by Google). “He recognized that his life was in danger. At this moment he is out of danger and hopes to be given the medical discharge between today and tomorrow to be able to continue your treatment from home. Konnan is in our prayers as is his family and we wish him a speedy recovery.”

  • Heath Reveals He Will Undergo Surgery In March

Heath revealed on Twitter tonight that he will be undergoing surgery on March 1, 2021.

In the below video, Heath revealed that he has a sports hernia on the left side of his pubic bone, another hernia on the right side, a rip on both sides of his abdomen wall, and his abductor’s muscle is completely off the bone.

It was back in October when Heath was injured during the Call Your Shot” Battle Royal at Impact Wrestling Bound for Glory.

The former WWE star also explained that the reason it took him so long to get the surgery done, was because of how hard it was for him to find a doctor who was willing to do everything at once.

Heath made his Impact Wrestling debut on July 18, 2020, at Slammiversary after being released by WWE in April due to the company-wide cuts brought on by COVID-19.

Einfach oben "old" Sortieren dann sieht man die Liste.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Jimmy Jacobs is currently the head of creative in Impact Wrestling. Jacobs reports to Scott D’Amore, who ultimately has the final say. The writing for television is handled by Jacobs, Tommy Dreamer and Robert Evans.
